Fresh Kills

“You do what’s best for the family.”

Why does Rose (Emily Bader), an inquisitive girl growing up in 1980s Staten Island, keep seeing signs of what her father Joe (Domenick Lombardozzi) does for a living? Jennifer Esposito, in her directorial debut, also plays Francine, the mother who holds the household together around his rise. The more Rose wants out of the life laid out for her, the more she risks losing her mother, her sister Connie (Odessa A'zion), and her aunt Christine (Annabella Sciorra).
