Fresh Meat

“A tasty comedy.”

A gang of criminals on the run bursts into a middle-class Māori household and takes the family hostage. Hemi Crane (Temuera Morrison) and Margaret (Nicola Kawana) keep a polite, orderly home, which the intruders read as an easy place to lie low. Danny Mulheron, in his directorial debut, plays the standoff for dry laughs, though the gang has picked the wrong family to threaten.
