Friday

“A lot can go down between Thursday and Saturday...”

Craig (Ice Cube) just wants to get through a Friday with nothing to do, and he has Smokey (Chris Tucker) on the porch beside him, smoking and drinking and looking for a way to fill the afternoon. Then Smokey owes money to a drug dealer, and Deebo (Tommy Lister Jr.), the neighborhood bully, keeps walking up the block. F. Gary Gray stays on that one South Central street, with the neighbors, the porch, and the hours dragging by.
