Friday Night

“This could be any evening in any place.”

Laure (Valérie Lemercier) has boxed up her Paris apartment and is due to move in with her boyfriend in the morning. Then a transport strike jams the streets, and she stops her car for a stranger, Jean (Vincent Lindon), standing in the road. Claire Denis follows the single night they share, a story about how a person can hold a whole other life in the hours before she gives hers a new address.
