Friend

“Four friends. Two rivalries. Only one choice.”

Four boys grow up together through the wearisome years of the 1970s, bound by school and by streets they share. Joon-seok (Yu Oh-seong) and Dong-soo (Jang Dong-gun) come from very different homes, and as the years pass each friend takes a different road. Kwak Kyung-taek builds it as a run of remembered moments, loosely strung and warm at the edges, with the crime story arriving slowly through them.
