Friendship!

Tom (Matthias Schweighöfer) and Veit (Friedrich Mücke) land in New York with almost no money and one English word between them, "friendship," left over from their school lessons. Tom is headed to San Francisco to find the father who fled East Germany twelve years ago, and the two friends set out across the country to get there. Markus Goller plays the trip as a loose, good-humored road comedy, with a little ache underneath.
