The noises in the Lloyd house start as soon as the parents drive off, and Amanda (Susan George) can't tell where they come from. She has taken the babysitting job for one quiet evening, but the dark old rooms keep unsettling her, and her nerves go first. Peter Collinson keeps the camera close and the house tight around her, so the whole film plays out in a few rooms.
