“The world's masters of murder pull out all the stops to destroy Agent 007!”

James Bond (Sean Connery) is sent to Istanbul to meet Tatiana Romanova (Daniela Bianchi), a Soviet clerk who says she will hand over a Lektor decoding device if he comes to collect her. Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya) and the criminal group SPECTRE are the ones who put the offer on the table. Terence Young keeps Bond moving from one tight spot to the next, and the person he is supposed to trust most is the one he has least reason to.
