Frontier of Dawn

In Paris, the photographer François (Louis Garrel) takes up with Carol (Laura Smet), a celebrity whose husband catches her with a younger man. Philippe Garrel follows what that affair leaves behind, a dead lover, Ève (Clémentine Poidatz), who keeps turning up in François's days. He lifts the camera to frame a face, and the face in the frame is hers.
