Nobody can say what Marnie (Kate Dollenmayer) is supposed to be doing at 23, least of all Marnie, who drags herself out of bed for a miserable temp job and spends the nights partying like college hasn't ended. She keeps circling Alex (Christian Rudder), her best friend, who doesn't seem to want what she wants. Andrew Bujalski shot this on 16 mm for very little money, and it treats adulthood as a set of responsibilities people put off for as long as they can.
