“How Lucky Can You Get!”

Fanny Brice (Barbra Streisand) has divorced Nick Arnstein (Omar Sharif), and in the Depression no one will hire her. Then Billy Rose (James Caan), a newcomer who writes lyrics and owns a nightclub, walks into her life with a pitch of his own. Herbert Ross follows the two of them toward the stage, with Streisand in the spotlight and Caan close behind her.
