Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus

“A love story.”

In 1958 New York, Diane Arbus (Nicole Kidman) is a housewife who assists her husband Allan (Ty Burrell), a photographer employed by her wealthy parents. She plays the part well and feels out of place in it. Then Lionel Sweeney (Robert Downey Jr.) moves into the apartment upstairs, and Steven Shainberg follows her toward his door, a woman in a respectable dress standing in the hallway.
