Fury

“Two lovers… victims of mob violence!”

Joe Wilson (Spencer Tracy) is driving through a small town on his way to marry his fiancée Katherine Grant (Sylvia Sidney) when the sheriff (Edward Ellis) picks him up as a suspect in a kidnapping. Word of the arrest spreads, and a crowd gathers outside the jail. Fritz Lang, in his first American film, keeps Joe behind the bars of his cell, and the crowd keeps getting larger.
