Futuro Beach

“A hero split in half.”

Donato (Wagner Moura), a lifeguard, cannot pull a drowning man out of the water, and the dead man's friend Konrad (Clemens Schick) is the one who finds him afterward. Karim Aïnouz follows Donato from Fortaleza to Berlin, where he tries to start over while his past keeps coming for him. Ayrton (Jesuíta Barbosa) is a presence he cannot shake, and the story stays in two cities, the Fortaleza shore and Berlin.
