“Being out has never been so in.”

Nobody at North Gateway High knows who the school's first openly gay student will be, until Tanner (Michael J. Willett) is outed and the answer lands in everyone's phones. Darren Stein follows the three most popular girls, Fawcett (Sasha Pieterse) among them, as they race to claim him as their Gay Best Friend. Tanner has to decide whether his sudden popularity is worth leaving behind Brent (Paul Iacono), the friend who knew him before.
