Gagarin: First in Space

In the late 1950s, the Soviet Union picks twenty pilots from three thousand fighters across the country, and no one knows which of them will fly first. Pavel Parkhomenko follows Yuri Gagarin (Yaroslav Zhalnin) through that selection, with Sergey Korolev (Mikhail Filippov) driving the program and Nikolai Kamanin (Vladimir Steklov) choosing the men. Every cosmonaut is racing his own rivals and the Americans, and only one name will go on the first flight.
