“A comedy of galactic proportions.”

Aliens under attack have been picking up old Galaxy Quest broadcasts, and they take the show for a documentary and beam up its washed-up cast to command a real ship. Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen) once played the heroic Commander Taggart, and Gwen DeMarco (Sigourney Weaver) and Alexander Dane (Alan Rickman) played his crew. Dean Parisot puts them on the bridge with no script, and Jason has to keep acting like a captain.
