Gamera: The Guardian of the Universe

“A great duel of supersonic speed.”

A ship runs aground on a remote atoll, and insurance investigator Kusanagi comes away with an ancient bead that he hands to his daughter Asagi (Ayako Fujitani). Elsewhere, ornithologist Dr. Mayumi Nagamine (Shinobu Nakayama) tracks reports of a huge new bird called Gyaos, and the attacks begin soon after. Shusuke Kaneko stages the rise of the guardian that answers to Asagi, its shell breaking the surface of the sea.
