Gangubai Kathiawadi

“Mafia Queen.”

Gangubai (Alia Bhatt) is a girl from Kathiawad who is tricked, sold to a brothel in Bombay, and left to make a life in its red-light district. Sanjay Leela Bhansali follows her from a frightened new arrival to the woman who runs the lane, leaning on the underworld connections of Rahim Lala (Ajay Devgn). The more power she gathers, the more she has to protect, and the street can turn on her as quickly as it once took her in.
