Gaslight

Bella Mallen (Diana Wynyard) wants a quiet marriage, and she hopes to start it in the house she and her husband Paul (Anton Walbrook) have just moved into, the one where Alice Barlow was murdered. Retired detective B.G. Rough (Frank Pettingell) lives nearby, and Paul's resemblance to one of Barlow's relatives bothers him. Thorold Dickinson keeps the couple at the center, with Bella's trust in Paul pulling against what the old detective suspects.
