Gemma Bovery
In a Norman village, Martin (Fabrice Luchini) is a former Parisian who now bakes bread and reads Flaubert with a devotion that borders on private religion. When an English couple named Gemma (Gemma Arterton) and Charlie Bovery (Jason Flemyng) move into the farm nearby, he cannot stop noticing how closely their names and habits follow the novel he loves. Anne Fontaine builds the story around a reader who has trouble telling a book from the people next door.
