“Your presence is my present.”

It's Christmas, and Bernard Bottle (Paapa Essiedu) is watching his job, his marriage and his time with his daughter Eve (Jordyn McIntosh) slip away. Then he opens an antique jewelry box and frees Flora (Melissa McCarthy), a genie shut inside it for more than 2,000 years. Sam Boyd's film rests on the two of them, a worn-out husband and a woman with centuries of lost time to catch up on.
