Genuine: The Tragedy of a Vampire

Percy Melo (Harald Paulsen), a painter, grows irritable and withdrawn once he finishes a portrait of Genuine (Fern Andra), a high priestess. He gives up painting and turns away his friends, preferring to sit alone with the picture in his study. Robert Wiene, working again with the writer and cinematographer of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, brought back designer Cesar Klein for the warped sets.
