Get Out

“Just because you're invited, doesn't mean you're welcome.”

Chris Washington (Daniel Kaluuya) is a photographer who agrees to spend a weekend upstate meeting the parents of his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams). Her mother Missy (Catherine Keener) and father Dean (Bradley Whitford) are warm to a fault, and Chris reads their eagerness as nerves. In his debut as director, Jordan Peele builds the story on how people perform kindness around race, and on how easily that kindness can pass for welcome.
