Getting Straight

“America's children lay it on the line.”

On a university campus in 1970, the student movements are multiplying faster than anyone can keep track of them. Harry Bailey (Elliott Gould) is back for his master's after years as one of the school's loudest undergraduate activists, and he has resolved to keep his head down and finish. Richard Rush follows him toward the degree, while Jan (Candice Bergen) and the students around her keep pulling him back toward the people he is supposed to be outgrowing.
