“Space Super Monster King Ghidorah attacks the Earth!”

In 1964, a meteorite crashes into the Japanese mountains while Tokyo is in the middle of a heat wave and a royal visit. Detective Shindo (Yōsuke Natsuki) and Professor Murai (Hiroshi Koizumi) get drawn in as a three-headed monster rises from the wreckage, and Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra become the only things left to appeal to. Ishirō Honda films it with a straight face and keeps the creatures large in the frame.
