Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence

In a near-future Japan, gynoids built as companions for their owners begin to malfunction and kill, then destroy themselves. Batou (Akio Otsuka), a cyborg detective with Section 9, is assigned the case, and his own shot leaves one of the dolls with a single file intact: a voice saying "Help me." Mamoru Oshii sets the question of what separates a made body from a person against the one thing the dolls still say.
