Someone has hacked the Logicomas, and no one in the city can say who or why. Motoko Kusanagi (Maaya Sakamoto), newly released from the 501 Organization, has to learn to take orders from Daisuke Aramaki (Ikkyu Juku) while Batou brings in Ishikawa and Borma. Kazuchika Kise and Atsushi Takeuchi follow her as she recruits the sniper Saito and the undercover cop Paz into the new Section 9, with a team that has not yet learned to trust each other.
