Motoko Kusanagi (Maaya Sakamoto) and Batou (Kenichirou Matsuda) travel as a couple on holiday, a cover for the real job of tracking a terrorist group that marks itself with the Scrasath. Back home, Togusa looks into the death of a man who wore a prosthetic leg from the Mermaid's Leg corporation. Kazuchika Kise cuts quickly between the two cases, and the leg keeps turning up in the frame.
