Ghost Story

“The Time Has Come to Tell the Tale”

When Edward Wanderley's son dies in a freak accident, four elderly men of the Chowder Society start meeting in a frigid New England winter to talk about what has been happening to them. Ricky Hawthorne (Fred Astaire) and John Jaffrey (Melvyn Douglas) are among them, old friends bound by a secret they have kept for fifty years. John Irvin follows them as the deaths pile up, and each of them knows what it would cost to say it aloud.
