Ghost World

“Accentuate the negative.”

Enid (Thora Birch) and Rebecca (Scarlett Johansson) have just graduated, and they spend the summer sneering at everyone, until a prank on a lonely middle-aged record collector named Seymour (Steve Buscemi) goes somewhere neither of them planned. Terry Zwigoff adapts Daniel Clowes's comic with flat, bright suburban light and a lot of bad diner booths. Enid keeps showing up at Seymour's door, and she has no idea what to do with herself once the summer ends.
