Fired from their university jobs, Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) open a ghost-catching business in New York City. They have the proton packs, a converted firehouse and a phone number, and the calls start coming in. Ivan Reitman keeps the whole thing loose, letting Murray talk his way through every room as the supernatural trouble in the city grows.
