Ghosts... of the Civil Dead

“They come Back to haunt you.”

Wenzil (David Field) is a prisoner in a modern maximum security wing, one built to run clean, efficient and quiet. David Yale (Mike Bishop) and the others live there under guards who tighten their control a little more each week. John Hillcoat, working partly from the true story of Jack Henry Abbott, shows a place that treats men so much like objects that violence starts to look like the only way left to be a person.
