“Too beautiful to die. Too wild to live.”

Gia Carangi (Angelina Jolie) wants to be loved, and she wants it badly enough that fame arrives almost as a side effect. Michael Cristofer follows her from the late 1970s into the top of the modeling world, where the attention is constant and the loneliness doesn't ease. Drugs fill the space, and the film is about how fast a person can be used up when the thing she needs is simply someone to stay.
