Giants and Toys

Yosuke Nishi (Hiroshi Kawaguchi) works in advertising for a caramel company and needs a new product to beat two rival firms in a fierce fight for the same shoppers. Yasuzō Masumura sets this satire of 1958 Japan inside the sales meetings and promotional campaigns where his ambitious executives measure each other. Nishi stands in the middle of that contest with his caramels and his campaign, still looking for the one idea that will carry the launch.
