“How do you create an ordinary life for an extraordinary girl?”

In a coastal town in Florida, Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is raising his niece Mary (Mckenna Grace), a seven-year-old who does advanced math at the kitchen table. When Mary starts school, her talent draws the attention of Frank's mother, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), who has her own plans for the girl. Marc Webb keeps the story close to Frank and Mary, a man and a child who have only ever had each other.
