Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story

Ben Carson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) grows up in 1960s Detroit determined to become a doctor, though his report cards and his temper say otherwise. Thomas Carter follows him from those early years to his work as a neurosurgeon in 1987. Through all of it, his mother Sonya (Kimberly Elise), who can barely read herself, keeps pushing him toward the life she wants for her son.
