Gigi & Nate

“Inspired by the true story of a life-changing friendship.”

In the American South of the film's 2006 setting, Nate Gibson (Charlie Rowe) is a young man with a bright future until a near-fatal accident leaves him disabled. His family, including his mother Claire (Marcia Gay Harden) and his sister Katy (Josephine Langford), has to learn a new way of living alongside him. Director Nick Hamm builds the story around Nate and Gigi, a capuchin monkey trained as his helper, and the patient bond that slowly forms between the two.
