Ginger & Rosa

“Friendship pulled them together. Love tore them apart.”

Ginger (Elle Fanning) and Rosa (Alice Englert) have been inseparable since birth, two girls in 1960s London who skip school and smoke on the rooftops. Sally Potter sets their friendship against the Cuban Missile Crisis, with the news on every radio and the bomb sitting at the edge of every conversation. Growing up here means the end of the world feels close, and so does the end of a friendship.
