Girlfight

“Prove them wrong.”

Diana Guzman (Michelle Rodriguez) is a Brooklyn high school student with a temper that keeps getting her into fights, and she wants somewhere to put it. She finds a boxing gym and starts training behind the back of her father, Sandro (Paul Calderon). Karyn Kusama's debut puts a girl in a male-dominated sport, where trainers and opponents doubt her and her father's disapproval could end it before she steps into a ring.
