Girls in Uniform

“This Startling Motion Picture Will Be the Yardstick By Which People Will Measure Each Other's Sophistication...”

Manuela von Meinhardis (Romy Schneider) arrives at a strict boarding school after her mother's death, carrying a grief she has no one to tell. The one warmth she finds is in a kind teacher, Elisabeth von Bernburg (Lilli Palmer), whom the headmistress (Therese Giehse) rules over. Géza von Radványi lets the girl's feeling for Elisabeth grow quietly, and the teacher is slow to say what she feels in return.
