Girls Just Want to Have Fun

“Getting into trouble is easy but getting out of it is all the fun!”

Janey Glenn (Sarah Jessica Parker) has barely unpacked in her new town when she meets Lynne Stone (Helen Hunt), who loves the local show Dance TV as much as she does. When the show announces a contest to find new regulars, the two decide to audition, though Janey's father has no patience for any of it. Alan Metter fills the dance numbers with bright costumes and bodies in constant motion.
