Girls of the Sun

“Women. Life. Liberty.”

In a Kurdish town overrun by ISIS, Bahar (Golshifteh Farahani) commands the Daughters of the Sun, a battalion made up entirely of women. Eva Husson follows her unit on the edge of liberating the town, with the French war reporter Mathilde (Emmanuelle Bercot) beside them. These women have lost their families and their freedom, and they fight so no one else has to.
