Give the Devil His Due

In a Czech fairytale village, the miller dies, worn down by his greedy wife Dorota (Jaroslava Kretschmerová), who then takes the mill and throws his son Petr (Vladimír Dlouhý) out of his own home. Lucifer sends the devil Janek (Ondřej Vetchý) to collect her, but she proves too much for him, and he runs off to join the army. Hynek Bočan follows the two as they meet there, Petr with nothing left and a devil with no better plan.
