Gladiator II

“Prepare to be entertained.”

Rome is ruled by twin Emperors, and years after the death of Maximus, the city is hard and cruel under them. Lucius (Paul Mescal) is dragged into the Colosseum after his home is conquered, with Macrinus (Denzel Washington) and General Acacius (Pedro Pascal) among the powerful men around him. Ridley Scott fills the arena with noise and bodies, and the glory of Rome belongs to its people, not to the men who rule it.
