“Sometimes hope begins with sacrifice”

John (Jack Reynor) drives a taxi in Ireland and wants one thing, which is to pull his mother Jean (Toni Collette) back from the drinking that is taking her apart. He finds himself drawn into the criminal underworld, searching for a way to put the family back together. Gerard Barrett keeps him on his feet and in the car through every shift, and John carries the weight of keeping her alive.
