In 1989 Orange County, Brian Kelly (Christian Slater) spends his days ditching class and skateboarding empty backyard pools. Then his adopted Vietnamese brother dies, and the police call it a suicide. Graeme Clifford follows Brian as he sets out to prove it was murder, with Al Lucero (Steven Bauer) the detective on the case and the one adult Brian has to deal with.
