Marseille, present day: Daniel Ortega (Gérard Meylan) walks out of prison to find that his daughter Mathilda (Anaïs Demoustier) has just had a baby. Her husband Nicolas (Robinson Stévenin) drives a car for hire and is worn thin, while Mathilda works trial shifts as a sales assistant. Robert Guédiguian watches the family through a night when taxi drivers attack Nicolas, and the newborn lies in the next room.
