“The incredible story of the team that changed the game forever.”

Why would a coach at a small desert school in Texas recruit Black players from across the country in 1966, and start all of them? Don Haskins (Josh Lucas) takes that gamble at Texas Western, bringing in players like Bobby Joe Hill (Derek Luke) while Adolph Rupp (Jon Voight) looms over the sport. James Gartner's film turns basketball into a plain argument about who gets to play.
