Glory to the Filmmaker!

Takeshi Kitano plays a version of himself, a filmmaker whose latest project keeps refusing to become a film. He tries one genre after another, turning up as a yakuza, a father, a ninja, a detective and an astronomer, with Kayoko Kishimoto and Anne Suzuki among those around him. Kitano wrote, directed and edited it, and the director stands in the middle of each attempt, still holding the project together.
